Most of my photographs are landscape details rather than recognisable locations. They have minimal manipulation to enhance traditional pictorial values. Some of my work has a meloncholic feel which reflects my interest in Romantic art, and my character - miserable old deaf git.

This picture is a vertical panorama produced by combining four images which scanned the tree from it's dark exposed roots to it's sunlit foliage. The dappled lighting was worth waiting for.

Oak leaf in ice.

The oak leaf is emerging as the ice thaws on the lake surface. The wave shaped fracture line and the trapped bubbles disorientate the viewer.

Limestone wall, Lathkill

The original black and white image has been coloured to exaggerate the feeling of moss, dampness and 'fading history'.
